Field Trip & Tours

Looking for an opportunity for your students to learn more about the history of the Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes? Want to explore the cultural significance of the bison? Interested in science and cultural activities? The Bison Range offers a wide range of activities for educational groups ranging from kindergarten to graduate students! Our Information & Education staff are happy to accommodate any educational group looking to take a field trip to the Bison Range. We are available for field trips Monday through Thursday, from 9am to 4pm. Friday and Saturday are occasionally open depending on staff availability. Generally, we recommend that school groups plan to have groups of no more than 50 students per day to ensure that all students are able to participate in activities. For groups over 50, we suggest splitting groups into multiple days. However, if you are unable to split your group, we may still be able to accommodate you.

All school groups need to have a current day pass or ED annual pass when accessing the scenic drives or the Day Use Area. Details about pass fees can be found on our information page or you can contact our office for more information.
